1. So who's your money on for winning the Debrusk Cup? As I write this Team Oilers are first place, just nearly ahead of Mr.Rack & Wings with our Good Friend & Gobles Grove resident Kyle keeping the 3rd place locked down. Well best of luck down the stretch guys hope you make the ride last till the very end.
2. WOW WOW & WOW some great H2H Playoffs this year. The Oilers destroyed the Wings, but both are coming out of it richer and a pick in round 5. We saw nail bitter in the Cam Neely Seabassment Playoffs with both Sharks and Hawks (surprise we havent heard from the teams?)but fantrax award the Sharks (NEW GM Ken) the winner so congrats fella who had more goals and wins then melcher (league office will look at H2H Tie Breaker Format in 2018-19 season) I hear something with total PTS then Wins as TB. I also was told there might be more $$ for Winner of H2H going forward which would be nice (as long as it wasnt another top 3 team
3. So Lottery Lottery we got some balls...SJS (5), CHI (4), PIT (3), PHI (2) and Buffalo (1), its still 1 time draw to determine the entry draft. Whomever takes over in relocation of Hartford would draft 6th overall No Balls. League sources say Commish JV will look at the ball % going forward as winner is 26% this year. As well if the first round is lottery determined, but round 2 and so on would reflect final league standings for all positions/draft order.
4. Speaking of those Whalers, there has been some simple talk of a new gm coming aboard. League sources want some type of relocation fee well some owners want a full dispersal no matter if a new gm was found or not. Hard sell as that would mean a expansion team vs relocation if there was a dispersal. No matter what Commish JV is trying to figure out how to make this work for the league and the new gm if they so choice to come aboard.
5. Cap hit sounds like its suppose to go up which will be nice, as the SFHL wants to see the $ raise just a little. There was small talks about introducing franchise tag (it has been topic in the past) but teams would still need to eat 60-70% of the salary for min/max of 2 years.
6. No big changes coming which is nice more time to play and scout!! Off-season would start again last week of August
7. Not sure if its needed (as the case last season not many teams made many trades in the off-season) but have heard there was some discussion about limiting trades at 3, this wouldnt include draft picks and or prospects.
8. I feel the H2H Playoffs are perfect for the months of Jan and Feb (it could come into march a little) but these are the slow months of the SFHL, then its spring and NHL Playoff hockey.
9. Did you see that 3 way deal man that was some ground shaking movement I tell yah, why cant there be more ?

The breakdown start w/ Buffalo they got Carey Price, bigger contract coming into play under a so-so team, if he can get back to his above average playing days this will be very helpful for the Sabres whom need a goalie that can soft spot yah 32-33 Wins, JETS MR roach moves one "elite-tier1" goalie for another in Brandon Holtby this guy can still get the job done and cost a few pennies less then Sir. Price. I wonder if Jets have more in store this off-season as they work there win back to the top. They also get a 5th rounder in the UFA..VANCITY futures, they get a guy who will start getting more pts on the board in the coming year or two Eriksson-Ek, Will Butcher a guy you need to win in the SFHL that can get ya the pts on the back end and not cost you 5m + Cam loves getting his picks back so of course he gets his No1 rounder back via entry and wings so most likely later picks but still in the Top 15 which isn't terrible theres some gems to be found whom Cam can dig and usually find them
11 who's ready for the Fall Draft ? haha all kidding aside theres talk that the league will look at all day saturday live action in the coming years or every 3rd etc..of course exempt would be Oil-Town and WingRack....
