Wondering if this makes sense to start next year:
A suspended player (suspended by league or team) can be replaced by a farm team player, in a similar manner to the SFHL IR. The suspended player can be 1-way and go to the farm without going through waivers. The player called up WILL have one of his 2 callups used here (unlike the free callup for an injury). The suspended player must be reinstated on the main roster before he plays his first game back from suspension.
Short version: treat a suspended guy like we do an IR guy, with the exception of having a call-up count against the guy coming up.

Looks fine by me - though I'd say like the SFHL IR gig or whatever else it is on, I'd say give the GM 24 hours to get him back on the team. Just in case someone is busy at work or on vacation/not online over a weekend etc. and can't get him posted back into the line-up. After 24 hours, count it as a strike against him. After 48 hrs, 2 strikes, and so on... if he's left off for more than 3 days then the first entry goes to last in the round. 24 hour grace period, harsher penalties if you can't sort it within grace period.

Well I thought about that, but a suspension is different than IR in that you know from the start when he's gonna be back. If a player coming off suspension on a Monday doesn't play again until Friday, that gives the GM a free 4 days with a call-up if he leaves the suspended player out.

Has this rule been passed?
Seeking clarification here... Can a 1 way player, who was suspended (In my case Landeskog) be sent to the farm for the duration of his suspension?
He's listed as DTD on yahoo giving him IR+ eligibility.
Head office?

Thanks commish. Theyve changed his status from DTD to NA. Guess I have to drop him, then call him back up after his suspension. Does this burn a callup for his replacement?

Maybe I am just one of the hard-liners but this is one reason why teams have benches. I would like to see if a player get suspend the GM has two options, keeping him on the roster (i.e Bench) or putting him on the SPL and calling up replacement. The kicker that call up will be counted towards the CU Limit of 2.
1. as per commish jv above 2. suspended player works the same as IR Status player, that when put on the SPL (Suspended Player List) a new player may be called up for his replacement and wouldnt count against the call up limit. Then following Racks above mention of when suspended player needs to be reactivate onto 22.

Ok thanks.
If I'm following you here, a suspended 1 way player (in this case Landy) has to stay on the active roster as the rules state today.
A change to the rule - such as the ones you and Rack provided - would occur in the off season and be put in to place for next year.
I'll put Landy back on my active roster. I left his replacement on the bench and didn't make any other roster moves during the time Landy was dropped.

Maybe if you didn't employ goons like Landeskog you wouldn't have to worry about this.
