Wings GM Stevie Y would like to propose that we close 2 potential loopholes in the new IR+ system for next season.
Currently, a player who is listed as DTD on an off day can be put onto the IR+, and a player who plays that night called up. The IR+ player may come back the next night and play. This gains a game played for the team.
Furthermore, since IR callups do not count towards a players max of 2, this is a way of calling up a player with 2 callups already, even though the IR+ player may not actually miss any time.
When developing our SFHL IR we took these loopholes into account and that's why we have the 7 day minimum - GMs must commit to losing said player for at least a week. I propose that we apply the same 7 day minimum to the IR+. Yes it will essentially make the IR+ and SFHL IR the same thing, but this is because we were ahead of our time and created our own IR+ system before Yahoo did. Having that IR+ position on Yahoo will just make it easier for us to move and track players.
