The Maple Leafs got the player that was drafted 1st overall in the SFHL. Enough said its sid the kid the guy is making a good chunk of change but 8.7 for him is not over paying in this league he ranks 3rd in Centermen and 4th overall in the league. Crosby easy can help in 4-5 cats. Raycroft looks like a throw in since he did report to the ahl club, and sound like there is no plans on him playing again in the sfhl this season.
Wings finally got the goaltending help they have been seeking in Giguere. You must think with still lots of hockey left that this is there man to help in the goalie stats, and talking to Stevie Y they needed a goalie and wasn't worry that there still is half the season left to catch up in those categories by trading a player like Sidney Crosby. They also did get a player that is red hot in D.Roy whom is scoring at a great pace and that ranks in the top 25 for centermen. The man that everyone wants to see in a wings sweater is Filatov a player that was draft in this past entry draft by the leafs. And his rank one of the best Prospects in the SFHL. Time will only tell if dealing a superstar like sid was a good move, by Mr.Rackley and co. But one must think having such solid depth at the center position they could deal Sid.
