The Edmonton Oilers have acquired defenceman Tobias Enstrom (.750, 2-way) and a conditional future consideration pick (8th rd ufa). In return the Hartford Whalers are picking up the Edmonton Oilers' 2009 6th rd ufa.
The Edmonton Oilers send Matt Lashoff (2-way, .618) to Edmonton Oil Kings to make room for Enstrom. New cap hit is $55.512

Goater and the Hartford Whalers have ended their evening with a deal they sent prior to leaving the discussions and will have to fill the void tomorrow for his cap and roster move to fill Enstrom's spot.
