Ah yes a trade to chat about...Flyers and Oilers do business lets look at the numbers
Two teams at different ends of the standings & different goals moving forward. Sedins Pts 57 Goals 18 PPP 22
Parise & Bergeron Pts 43 Goals 23 PPP 12
EDM - Oil Gm Grass loves twins and gets his favourite ones back in the Sedins. Oilers trade one left winger and centre and get the same back with Daniel and Henrik. Both players got extensions that will pay them in the 7M range, in 2014-15. Is this a good move? Well yes in the short term mainly the present, Sedins are still close to elite players as you can get, they are averaging close to pt per game and should get 70+pts when the season is finish. So yes good move as Grass looks to add easy 30-40 pts from now till the end of the year. Daniel Sedin is also one of top 25 players in the SFHL. As well these guys still both have 70 pt seasons in them for the next 2yrs a least. Grass doesn't lose any cap or position in his lineup with this move which again is smart PHI - Mur also gets a player in the top 25 in Zack Attack Parise on the left side and adding Bergeron fills the void at centre. Parise is the point getter here as he's projected to get high 60's and should be a top liner for the flyers for the next generation, aiming in or around 65 pt range and should be hitting the 30 goal mark. Bergeron is a good second line centre that should get 40-50 pts this season and don't except much more then that in the future. What the flyers did here is they got two good assets in draft picks 2nd entry this season where they can find a decent B+ level prospect preferable on the back end and 3rd rounder in the much hype 2015 draft. The flyers need to get on the right path and I for one feel they are on it, yes this moves does say knock 20-30pts off there totals, but if they can find a good player with one of those picks the move was worth it. One wonders if this is the last "big deal" GM Mur has in his back pocket, the important thing here is the flyers need not just "elite - 1st line type players" but also good players in the lines of top 6 fwds and Top 4 Dmen if they ever want to get into the mix of playoffs and down the road top 3....they have the goaltending next up is building a good backend (thats what she has or said) and then grabbing some gems at forward.
WInner: EDM & PHI - yes I noted they is a little bit of pt drop, but Bergeron does help the +/- and SHP so today its pretty damn even if your look at all roto-cats/stats As its been cold out lately the Commish hadn't seen his testess until this morning...hmmm didn't know anyone still read these? As I stand its pretty even on both ends here yes grass gets the sedins whom will get a higher pt total but I feel this is as even as one trade can get positions and cap are the same..and in a root league I feel Oilers have the edge in PTS/PPP with a split in goals and murphilly gets the +/-, SHP,

Come on Commish, you always went with the tie on deals then finally started to name a winner last year. Put the testicles back on and get off the fence!
For this one, I'll get you started. Clear winner: EDM.
