The Maple Leafs and Penguins have made deadline deal.
Going to the Maple Leafs are Patrik Elias (3.000), Dustin Brown (3.125), Joe Corvo (2.625) and a 1st round entry pick (2009-Pens).
Going to Penguins are Corey Perry (5.125), David Krejci (.766), Colton Orr (.537) and a 3rd round entry pick (2009- Leafs).

- Elias, Brown, Corvo and Brodziak (first time called up) to the Leafs
- Gorges to the Marlies (cant be called up again)
- Leafs have no more trades
