Edmonton Oilers make deal with Toronto Maple Leafs

The Edmonton Oilers have acquired C Sidney Crosby (8.7, one-way), Marek Zagrapam (N/A, two-way prospect) and the team's second round entry in 2010 it had sent to the Leafs in a previous trade.

In giving up Crosby, Zagrapan and an entry pick, the Toronto Maple Leafs have acquired C Patrick Marleau (6.3, one-way), C David Krejci (.766, two-way prospect), D Cam Barker (.885, two-way prospect) the Edmonton Oilers first round entry in 2009 and the Leafs third round ufa pick back from the previous trade.

Zagrapan will be sent to the Edmonton Oil Kings.
To fill the void, the Edmonton Oilers are calling up C Rich Peverley (.487, two-way 1st call-up) and D Matt Lashoff (.618, two-way prospect 1st call-up).
New cap hit is $56.637.. ouch.

Leafs send Brendan Bell (can be called once more-- .500) and Kyle Brodziak (2 more call ups-- .497) to the Marlies, while Patrick Marleau (6.3), David Krejci (.766) and Cam Barker (.885) report to the Leafs.

What's going on here this must be some type of dream, A Fantasy Dream.......Crosby dealt for the second time in so many weeks. There was some parts goin in differnt directions but many coming back to were they started in terms of Krejci and some picks.

The Leafs made a surprising trade in which they dealt Sid Crosby @ 8.7 and with rumours of the franchise tag coming into play next season Sids cap hit will be just over 4 million. The oilers also get prospect Marek Zaprapan who in this reporter's eye has falling from blue-chip prospect to just being a prospect. The oilers hope he can maybe get back to being a mid-level prospect. Source's said the oilers could only do this deal if getting back there 2010 entry pick rd 2.

Leafs, feel it must of been time to move the kid, replacing him with be Patty Marleau who is having a great season. After Wilson left,mmmm... Krejci re-joins his teammates and is looking at a big raise maybe close to 3mill next season being he is going into his rfa year. Cam Barker who is starting to show what made him a 3rd pick overall in 2004 is also going into his rfa season and looks be seaking 2.5 range. The leafs also help there rebuilding effort in a entry pick round 1 from the oilers and getting back there 3rd rounder in the UFA draft.....
