Jets and VanCity make some noise on the forum.
Mr.Roach and Co. have made a big move trading King Henrik to the Canucks. As most can attest he is one of the top net minders in the game and at the elite status. Here is how the deal breaks down, Jets replace the King with the Flower (Marc Andre Fleury). who has had top 5 numbers in wins the past few season. Who will be maing 5M for the next 2 seasons, that most have as a good No.1 but not in the same class as the King. But the key component in this deal is the jets get superstar elite Patrick I punch cabbys Kane who is above ppg player and can do it all on the right side. The swapping of prospects I believe Charlie Coyle will be a better player short and long term. This guy has the size and smarts to be Top 6 Fwd in the SFHL. As well he's still on his ELC which makes him a bargain at this time. Throw in the 3rd rounder in 2014 and where the jets can keep filling that bare cupboard. Canucks have been making positive moves in the standings as well on the trade front. Grabbing King H was a huge huge move on Cam's part knowing very well this salary will be north of 8M after this season. But man oh man he gets elite goalie which dont grow on trees like say peaches or pears. With only dressing one netminder in the coming years this was good move, and only 31 yrs of age still lots of gas in the tank. Alright next up unsure how much Clarkson will preform this season at 5.25M this right winger should be able to log top 6 minutes and be a good Top 9 Fwd. Whom can add pims and pts to the roto league. But how much pressure is on this guy to perform as he's getting more $$ but dont expect him to achieve more in the stats cats. Zack Kassian is still a prospect starting this season who some have as top 6Fwd, my guess is more in Lines with either Top 9 who can get 35-40pts and produce in other cats. Or more likely a good third liner who will again avg 30 pts with 100pims. Hard to say who one as both teams got elite players in this deal, my money is on the jets if the flower can get back to Elite Status for next 2 season's Winnipeg wouldn't miss Lundqvist all that much. But on the other hand the King is good for 40 wins, 8-10 shutouts and top 3 in G.A.A and SP%, the hope is Kassian can get into that Top 6/9 role and Clarkson stays at the level of 20goals, 40 pts and 150pims...
* Sorry boys still havent figure out Podcast
