Pens where in another move after acquiring so much cap in the Getzlaf trade they needed to shuttle someone else out. That player was T.Vanek going to the Hawks. Melcher and Co. are happy to finally get a sniper on the left side who can pot in 30-40 goals this season coming. Going the other way are two prospects, Nierreitter who is need of a change. That this player was consider in his draft year to be a top 3 and hasnt shown it again this writer believes that Nino will do much better in 2013-14. Except a modest production in a Top 9 role. Oscar Klefbom is kinda a hard one to read, is he a Defense-Dmen or does he had a 2way style to him? I dont have him much higher then #5D, but others peg him at best Top 4 talent at least when he is still making peanuts.
Winner: HAWKS, getting a true sniper on the left side is every gms dream and Vanek has still lots to give, and as noted hawks gave up two B level prospects
