The Bruins traded Tyler Seguin, Rich Peverley and Ryan Button to the Stars in exchange for Loui Eriksson, Joe Morrow, Reilly Smith, and Matt Fraser.
Boy oh boy, what a deal...and a "hockey trade" yes good on Neil and Chiarelli on making this deal.
Bruins were rumour to have Seguin in play at the draft, but after Horton said he wanted test the market..many figure, I being one that Seguin was off the trade market and GM Chiarelli was using this as motivation for player coming out of his ELD. Seguin is a point producer and a guy I think Beantown is going to miss yes they save 1m getting Eriksson in the lineup and this guy is no sultch but come on man. Bruins always get Morrow whom has been dealt already this season (Morrow <> PITTS) I like this guy and feel hes going to be solid #3 when he learns the game of Defence. Reilly an be a top 9 fwd that has speed and can collect some goals be it on the 3rd line or spot duty on the 2nd. Fraser is a good piece on the cap and can play regular minutes on the 4th line, if boston doesnt think Caron, Spooner and Knight are ready for full time duty. Man new GM Neil made a big play does Seguin go to the Left side and play with crazy ass sniper Jamie Benn? Rich Peverley did put up the pts when in Atlanta so except so secondary scoring from him and or a good 3rd liner. Button will start the season in the minors.
One wonders if this gets Jagr to sign back in Beantown, but more important what does this do in the SFHL??? Only time will tell...

also glad to see the cap go down after today, as there wasnt any big contracts and term given out today geez whiz, and secondary style player got 5M + term... My bet is the cap goes up 73M in 2014-15 (SFHL 78M) still lots of good players still out there (iggy)...
