The Edmonton Oilers and the Philadelphia Flyers have agreed on a blockbuster deal which will see a changing of the guard in both cities.
To Edmonton: Tyler Seguin, Emerson Etem, Philadelphia's 1st entry in 2012 (#5) and Philadelphia's 1st entry in 2013
To Philadelphia: The Sedin twins
Seeking approval.

Commish Approve
Geez, thats correct changing of the guard...Does this mean the Philly Flyers are moving in a different direction going forward (not going to build throught the next two drafts & keep young assets)? Is adding the Sedin Twins what needs to happen for mur and the gang to get in the playoffs and be a top contender? Flyers traded alot of youth in this one with 65+ pt man in Seguin, Etem looks like he should be a top 6 next season...plus trading a top 5 pick in the entry draft and 1st entry in 2013 (better hope they have a good season). There's 4 assets/ players they could of build around. Flyers do have a solid keeper in Mike Smith, but the roster doesnt have too many tier 1/all-start players. They do have a good mix of tier 2 guys in LeCavalier, Timonen, Jagr and Carle..and Barteshi looks like a gem and could win the calder..as you can note i am not sure i like this move hopefully they have more plans going into the draft next week.....Oilers on the other hand like to make the "big move players"either trading good/young talent or acquiring it. This does change the oilers outlook in 2012-13 as sedins have been a big part of the Oil..But adding all-star Seguin & #5 entry should do enough for ppl in the west not too notice the sedin sisters being gone..

Nice trade for both teams, but ill Side in the Mur camp. Whoever gets the best player normally wins the trade. In this case he got the two best players.
