In what should be the team's final push, the Edmonton Oilers have acquired C John Tavares ($.9, one-way) and LW Mikkael Boedker ($1.1, two-way) from the Phoenix Coyotes for C Ryan Nugent-Hopkins ($.925, two way) and D Zdeno Chara ($3.919).
Oilers moves:
Tavares joins the Oilers while Boedker is sent to the Edmonton Oil Kings for conditioning. D Grant Clitsome ($1.25, two-way) is called up to replace Big Z.
New cap hit is $66.319
