The Edmonton Oilers will be putting up their numbers to finalize the deal shortly.
Owner and GM Jesse Grass is currently off to sign papers for a place to live in Van City and will post it up ASAP.

In acquiring LW Ville Leino, the Edmonton Oilers have high hopes the young star will turn his season around after being called out recently.
Owner and GM Jesse Grass said it was tough to let D Chris Campoli, who had been with the Oilers since day one, walk, along with Ryan Stoa who they had not yet had a chance to see play with the big club. That being said Grass expects big things from Leino in the near future.
"When a player puts up nine points in his first 13 games in the NHL you know he can play," he said. "We're hoping Ville will respond with the change of scenery here in Edmonton and get back to producing like he did last year."
Leino will join the Oilers and fill the void left by the departure of Campoli.
The Edmonton Oilers' new cap hit is $54.086.

For your information:

In other Borschevsky news, Canadian actor Mike Myers named his dog Borschevsky in his honour... I didn't know Borschevky had an honour to be named after....

hahaha.... just a funny name!! only claim to fame is the OT winner vs. the Red Wings in the 1st round of the playoffs in 92/93!! haha, then i dont know what happened to him. he had to be one of those 35 year old russians that was a rookie in the NHL.

Must suck to be a Leaf fan and still have a divisional playoff victory 17 years ago as the high point in your career as a fan...
Maybe if they hit double digits in points this year, that can replace '93 as the pinnacle?

oh yeah, damn fine sharp looking man!!
hey now, maybe all they need is a victoire this saturday vs. your wings and then they're off..... or, ill just continue to dream about 92/93..... and losing to carolina!!! damn..... why are the best leaf highlights always losses?? haha.
ah well, as long as the leafs beat the wings this saturday, good enough start for me..... bragging rights for one night, ill take any day!!!
