The Edmonton Oilers have sent LW Scott Hartnell (4.2, 1-way) to the Red Wings for a 2009 3rd round entry and a 4th round ufa in 2010.
In losing Hartnell, Edmonton calls up D Matt Gilroy (1.75, 2-way OP) to fill the void.
