Maple Leafs/Red Wings make a deal....

It did not take long at all. The Maple Leafs have reached a deal with the Detroit Red Wings sending them Tomas Vokoun FOR Mark Streit and prospect Logan Couture. It breaks down like this:

- Vokoun will report to the Wings--- Johnson sent to the farm
- Wings call up Ben Lovejoy
- Streit to report to the Leafs--- Harrold sent down to the Marlies

- Couture to the Marlies

The Red Wings would like to bid a fond farewell to Streit and Couture, who have both been with the organization since it's inception in 2007. GM Stevie Y feels this is a great move for everyone, as Streit and Couture will join a top tier club gunning for a championship, and the Wings acquire what the hope is finally the strong goaltending consistency that they have needed for 3 years.
