PENS & HABS have come to terms in a deal that will push the Pens to the top of the standings. The Habs are going the other direction but hope with this trade they are building a winner and getting the assests to get there.

I'm assuming Drewiske was in the Pens line-up and hence no other move for the Pens to get Niedermayer in. I just checked Yahoo! and that is the case - approved. The league will await Kariya's waiver posting as well.
